My Second Home - Part 1

Hi Everyone! I'm so excited to be blogging about Umkomaas which is my second home. I've been staying here for two years and it certainly feels like home to me. The view from my flat is remarkable, I couldn't help but share it with you. Umkomaas is a small town, I didn't know about it till I had to move here because of my job.

There are a number of activities that one can partake in like shark cage diving, spa treatments and golf (I have these in my bucket list). The Aliwal Shoal is a huge tourist attraction with activities such as diving and fishing. Umkomaas river is the largest river on the South Coast, it's great for rafting, canoeing and boat riding. Umkomaas is home to the beautiful Empisini Nature Reserve. The forest has a number of bush walks and a stunning waterfall. There are cabins that one can rent out.
There are guest houses and lodges if one is interested in paying us a visit. There are many restaurants with beautiful sea views where one can dine in.

I feel blessed to be staying in such a beautiful town. I'll have a detailed post up on my blog showing you places you can visit, look out for that!

Until next time!
XO Kanya

I took these images with my phone from my balcony.
I took this one on my way home at 6 am.

These two I took them from the brigde on the Umkomaas river mouth.
