Travel Diaries - Cape Town

Image
Hello Loves! A week ago a friend and I went to Cape Town for the weekend. It was the first time for both of us. We stayed at the Lagoon Beach Hotel. I enjoyed my stay there and part of me wishes I had stayed longer.  View of Table Mountain from the hotel Cape Town is one of South Africa's capital cities and it is also known as the Motherland. It is a huge tourist attraction because of the Table mountain which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Robben Island, Cape of Good Hope and V&A Waterfront to name a few. Shopping with a difference

Hi Everyone! Today's post has been on my mind for a very long time now. It's something very close to my heart... On my last visit to Cotton On Galleria the lady at the counter asked me if I'd like to make a donation by purchasing a bracelet or a bottle of water. I was pleased to do so. The proceeds go to the Cotton On Foundation. The Cotton On Foundation is aimed at reducing poverty and improving the lives of those in need. This is a great initiative as it focuses on four pillars: Education, Health Care, Sustainability and Infrastructure. They funds projects in Australia and Uganda. They work relatively close to the Nelson Mandela Foundation and Caring 4 Girls here in South Africa. Bottled water that can be purchased from Cotton On for only R10 Arm candy available at Cotton On for as little as R18 Another great initiative that I've come to learn about is the M.A.C AIDS fund. It was launched in 1994 and it is a safety net for people living with and affect...

Hi loves Today I'd like to share with you my go to hair products and hair care routine. Sometime last year I decided to go natural. I stopped chemically treating my hair. Transitioning for me was not easy. I would wash my hair and when I air dry it (which took the whole day), it would get tangled.  The ends of my hair remained straight and it was hard to comb through. So I decided to go for the big chop... This year in January I had my first hair cut in two years. My hair was so short, the barber could not keep my transition hair because my hair was too short at the back. I had to start from the bottom but I loved the outcome. The products I started using were from Aunt Jackie's coil and curls collection. I used their oh so clean shampoo and curl la la defining curl custard. I loved the smell and feel on my hair. I felt as though my  hair was a little dry after shampooing. When I'm lazy to wash my hair I would spritz a concoction of olive oil, coconut oil and a...
