Hi loves Today I'd like to share with you my go to hair products and hair care routine. Sometime last year I decided to go natural. I stopped chemically treating my hair. Transitioning for me was not easy. I would wash my hair and when I air dry it (which took the whole day), it would get tangled.  The ends of my hair remained straight and it was hard to comb through. Hi Loves! First things first, Happy 2017 to all my readers. I'd like to wish you guys all the best for 2017. It's the start of a new year and a lot of us are thinking of ways that we could improve our lives. I personally don't do New Years resolutions mainly because I feel under pressure and I never complete anything on that list. What I do is set one goal at a time and see if I can stick to it. When that one task is finished I move to the next one. Currently I'm focused on my health and well being. Lately I have been neglecting myself to the point where I had a hard time looking at myself in the mirror. My problem was not with the weight gain but not feeling pretty in my own skin. Hello Loves! A week ago a friend and I went to Cape Town for the weekend. It was the first time for both of us. We stayed at the Lagoon Beach Hotel. Hi Loves!!!! Feels so good to be back on the first day of Spring! Today's post is a food post. These days I'm more of a foodie than a fashionista. Being a foodie has it's downfalls... I gained weight and couldn't fit into my clothes. Sigh!  The recipe I have for you is delicious, you will love it! It's great for hot sunny days and plus winter days are over, we can now indulge in sweet frozen treats. You'll need:  1 punnet of strawberries  200ml of water 3 tablespoons lemon juice 2 tablespoons sugar Method: 1. Purée the strawberries    2. In a large pan boil the water, add the lemon juice and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves. 3. Once the mixture is cool add to the strawberries and freeze.  4. Purée the frozen mixture before serving.  Voilà!  Your strawberry sorbet is ready to eat!  Unfortunately this only serves 1 but you can add more of the ingredients for more people.  This recipe is easy but the hardest part is blending the frozen...

Hello Lovely People Valentine's Day... A day where couples spoil each other with flowers; chocolate; lingerie etc etc. To me it's just like any other day. I hardly do anything special for anyone on Valentine's Day. This year was a lil different. I still didn't spoil my significant other but at least I didn't spend it in bed watching fitness videos on YouTube ;). I actually did something... I went to a Wedding. I kinda like the idea of having a wedding on Valentine's Day, it's sorta cheesy but I still think its pretty romantic. Every year on the 14th of February it would always be your anniversary and not about Saint Valentine. At this posh affair I wore a red off the shoulder dress. This is actually the first time in a very long time that I'm wearing red on Valentine's. I specifically chose this dress because I'm currently loving the off the shoulder trend. Hello Lovely People! Today's outfit features an item from my Mom's closet. Raiding my mom's closet was one of the best things I've done in the past year (hihi). This white shirt is just awesome. I fell in-love with it the second I tried it on. I love that shirt dresses are trending this season and I didn't have to pay for mine. It's different, retro, minimalistic and I'm totally nuts about the detail on the front. I love the attached waist coat with embroidery, totes amaze! I paired this wonderful piece of clothing (the shirt) with leatherette leggings. I'm not brave enough to wear a shirt dress alone. I had to wear something underneath. I accessorised the look with black court heels, a watch and a clutch bag. I didn't want to overwhelm the shirt with too many accessories as it has a simplistic look to it. Hello lovely people! Last night I made an appearance at the Call It Spring Club at the Pavilion Mall. It was my first time attending such an event and I had a great evening. I was accompanied by a friend of mine and she played the role of my photographer for the night. Call It Spring was open to everyone to shop from 7pm to 9pm. We had our photos taken at the photo wall and they were printed for us as souvenirs . There was a live band entertaining us as we did our shopping. Cocktail slushies and ice cream was served. There were also great discounts on items purchased. A special thanks to the lovely and always stylish  +Brett Robson  and  +callitspring   for picking me as the winner of the R1000 shopping voucher. The staff at Call It Spring The Pavilion was really friendly and they were great assistance. It was really fun, I totally enjoyed myself. Hi lovely people! Today's look is vintage with a modern twist. I'm wearing a grey tweed skirt I picked from my mother's closet. I paired it with a few items of my own. I had my eye on this skirt for a very long time, I was thrilled to find that it still fits me. The texture of this skirt is what makes it different to what is currently on the market. The skirt is quite warm, I decided to pair it with a sleeveless poloneck. This look can be worn in the evening since summer days are upon us. I love dark colours accesorized with gold. Hello my lovies! Today I choose happiness. I'm saying this because I had a bitter-sweet day. My morning started on a very high note and by lunch time I was exhausted, emotionally, physically and mentally. I asked myself why was I so annoyed. Hi Everyone! Today's post has been on my mind for a very long time now. It's something very close to my heart... On my last visit to Cotton On Galleria the lady at the counter asked me if I'd like to make a donation by purchasing a bracelet or a bottle of water. I was pleased to do so. The proceeds go to the Cotton On Foundation. The Cotton On Foundation is aimed at reducing poverty and improving the lives of those in need. This is a great initiative as it focuses on four pillars: Education, Health Care, Sustainability and Infrastructure. They funds projects in Australia and Uganda.
